Solar Power Systems

MetroTek can provide your home or business with a clean, quiet, and cost-effective solar power solution. We offer both solar arrays and solar hot water systems. By taking advantage of a solar energy system today, you can reduce your environmental impact, increase your property or business value, and save money on your energy costs. MetroTek can manage your entire solar project, including design, engineering, financing, installation, monitoring, and administrative functions such as maintenance, power purchase agreements, and regulatory assistance.

MetroTek will evaluate and assess your home, business, or facility on a case-by-case basis to provide you with the optimal roof or ground mounted solar array, ensuring efficient space usage and maximum return on investment. MetroTek will provide you with a proposal presenting our recommended solar implementation, detailing the benefits of the system, the configuration options, the estimated energy savings, and the financing and incentives available specifically for your system. Contact us today to explore your solar power options by requesting a preliminary site assessment and a custom green energy proposal.

Benefits of a Solar Power System

There are many benefits to using solar, most notably:
Energy Rate Security: As energy rates rise significantly over the next few decades, you power rate will remain low and relatively constant.
Affordability: Between the new state and federal incentives, numerous financing options, and declining equipment costs, solar energy systems are as affordable as ever.
Net Metering: By connecting your system to the power grid, it is possible to sell excess solar electricity to your utility company at the wholesale power rate.
Climate Flexability: Solar panels only require access to solar radiation, not nessarily direct sunlight, as solar energy systems produce power even on cloudy days. In June, two identical solar systems would produce approximately the same ammount of electricity in Pennsylvania as in Florida. However, your system must be free of shadows from surronding objects and positioned toward the sun.
Modularity: Solar systems make it easy to add additional solar panels should your power needs change.
UL Certified: All solar power equipment sold and installed by MetroTek is Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certified, meaning the solar panels comply with the National Electric Code and are designed to withstand 120 mph winds and golf ball sized hail.
Public Benefits: Renewable energy systems protect America by increasing energy independence and combatting pollution and climate change, and your use of green energy sets a positive example for your community or industry.

Solar System Configurations

MetroTek will analyze your needs to provide you with the optimal system configuration:
Power Grid-Connected Solar System: Power is provided by the solar energy system during the day, while energy needs at night are met by your electric company through your current connection to the power grid.
Independent System with Energy Storage: Excess power is generated during the day and stored for use at night.
Grid-Connected System with Energy Storage: Three levels of redundancy provides you with the ability to meet your power needs through your solar energy system, the power grid, or an uninterrupted / backup power supply.
Blended Renewable Energy System: A custom designed solution utilizing any combination of wind turbines, solar energy systems, power grid connectivity, energy storage solutions, backup generators, and other renewable energy technologies.
